Summer English Language and Academic Subject Courses
- Student Comment
The Summer Programme 2021 will be taught online due to the continuing Covid-19 pandemic.
All SOAS teaching has been delivered online since March 2020 and the Summer Programme 2021 will offer the same high quality of teaching as previous years. Daily live interactive classes will be supplemented with other activities. We are offering reduced tuition fees, and of course there are no accommodation, flights or visa fees to pay this year.
If you are an international student and want to study academic English or learn more about a range of subjects, then come to IFCELS at SOAS, University of London. We offer a range of 3 and 6-week summer courses for English language development and introductions to academic subjects too. These courses combine language skills and academic content in an interactive way and provide a great introduction to studying at an English speaking university.
You will need to be at least 17 years of age to apply. Normally, you will need to have graduated from high school, but in exceptional circumstances we can consider 17 year olds with one year of high school remaining.
All online courses consist of 12 teaching hours per week. Live classes will be taught in the mornings UK time (to allow for time differences). Students will also be required to spend approximately 10 further hours per week on guided independent study.
