What is DLHE?
The Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education survey or DLHE is a statistical survey conducted by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). The survey aims to contact UK and EU domiciled graduates of UK universities six months after graduation and to establish what type of employment or further study they were engaged in.
We have compiled the above information, including employment statistics, skills gained during their studies and relevant links, from alumni who graduated from SOAS in 2014.
The government requires us to try to reach 80% of our UK Full Time students, 70% of our UK Part Time students, 50% of all of our European students and 40% of our Non-European Overseas students. Every year we end up getting responses from around two-thirds of all students who have left our programmes which makes this survey a really good snapshot of what people are doing just after they finish their degrees. It's important to bear in mind that 6 months is a really short time-frame and that most people will move jobs if not sectors and countries several times in the first few years after they finish degrees with is.
