About this event

In the face of the ecological crisis, food insecurity, climate change and unprecedented biodiversity loss, what can African ethical thought contribute to finding solutions to these global problems?

In this talk, I reject the commonly held assumption that African ethics is too strongly anthropocentric to be able to guide an ethically appropriate and effective response to these challenges. To the contrary, I highlight several ways in which it can deeply enrich our thinking and action in response to these developing crises.
