SOAS in the Media: 31 Dec - 6 Jan

This week has seen a number of SOAS staff and students provide their expertise on US-Iran relations in light of the killing of General Qassem Suleimani. Dr. Seyed Ali Alavi, Senior Teaching Fellow in the Department of Politics and International Studies, spoke to LBC News about the situation. Arshin Adib-Moghaddam, Professor of Global Thinking and Comparative Philosophy, commented on the history of relations between the US and Iran for BBC World and BBC Portuguese , El Comercio Peru , History Extra and over 10 other media outlets. Mohammad Ali Shabani, PhD research student provided an op-ed for The Guardian and has commented on the situation for The Washington Post , BBC World Service Radio , Indian Express and over 70 other media outlets. Soraya Lennie, current MA International Diplomacy student, also commented the conflict for EuroNews , Daily Express , United Daily News and over 5 other media outlets.
