LEAD Journal

Overview

LEAD Journal (also known as the Law, Environment and Development Journal) is a peer-reviewed journal which publishes articles, case notes and documents of interest to professionals, practitioners, researchers, students and policy-makers in the field of international and regional environmental law and domestic environmental laws of developing countries. It emphasises a comparative approach to the study of environmental law and carries a North-South focus.

Adopting a broad view of the environment, LEAD Journal also solicits writing which examines the links between the environment and related concerns, such as human rights, poverty or trade. LEAD encourages scholarship which combines theoretical and practical approaches to the study of environmental law and practice.

LEAD Journal is jointly managed by the SOAS Law, Environment and Development Centre and the International Environmental Law Research Centre in Switzerland.
