Dr Vincent Breugem

Vincent Breugem is an ACLS/Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Fellow in Buddhist Studies. He studied Japanese Buddhism at Taisho, Kyoto and Hanazono Universities in Japan, and at Leiden University in the Netherlands, where he obtained his PhD. Before joining SOAS he worked as a Post-doctoral Fellow in the Buddhism & Social Justice Project at the Leiden Institute for Area Studies (LIAS). At present he is expanding his research on the medieval Zen movement known as "Darumashū" (Bodhidharma School).
