Charles Wallace Pakistan Trust Fellowship renewed for three years

19 June 2020

SSAI is pleased to announce that Charles Wallace Pakistan Trust Fellowship has been renewed for three years commencing from Sept 2021. The fellowship enables an academic/professional from Pakistan to undertake a short working visit to SOAS South Asia Institute with the aim of broadening professional knowledge, skills, and contacts.

Edward Simpson, Director of the SSAI said “This is wonderful news! It allows us to develop our relationship further with scholars from Pakistan. SOAS is thankful to the Trust for recognising our dedication to developing partnerships in the region. It is a pleasure for us to host and learn from visiting fellows.

Unfortunately, due to the uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Charles Wallace Trust Fellowship for both India and Pakistan will be on hold for the upcoming academic year 2020-21.  We at SSAI want to ensure that the visiting fellows have the opportunity for an on-campus experience. The application for fellowships will open in early 2021. Please do reach out to us if you have questions about the scheme.”
