Isabel Marler is the Communications Coordinator of the Challenging Fundamentalisms programme at the Associate for Women's Rights in Development (AWID), a position which involves online communications and outreach, and research and knowledge-production for advocacy and capacity-building purposes. She holds a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Bristol and a Master's degree in Gender Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. Isabel previously worked for the transnational solidarity network Women Living Under Muslim Laws (WLUML). She is involved in the British and transnational women's movements, in struggles against austerity and war, and for asylum and immigration rights. Her interests include Transnational Feminism in Theory and Practice; Gender in the Middle East and North Africa; Gender in Muslim contexts; and Progressive and Innovative Communications. She is the author of various analysis pieces, interviews and advocacy statements.
