Biography

Dr Lindsay Sarah Krasnoff is a historian, communications consultant, and writer, author of The Making of Les Bleus: Sport in France 1958-2010. She has written on French and global sports for a range of news and sports media outlets, including VICE Sports, CNN International, The Washington Post, The New Yorker, and more. She previously served as a historian for the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Public Affairs, with a Europe-centric portfolio, and also worked with the Department's Sports Diplomacy office. Dr Krasnoff is co-director of sports diplomacy initiatives for Sport & Démocratie. Her research focuses on the intersection of sport and diplomacy, particularly vis-a-vis basketball and football. Dr. Krasnoff holds a PhD in History from The Graduate Center (City University of New York), MA in Journalism and French Studies (NYU), and BA in International Affairs (The George Washington University).
