Biography
Christiane holds an MSc in Development Economics from SOAS, for which the economics department awarded her both the prize for the best overall result and the best thesis.
She also holds an interdisciplinary MSc in Global Development from the University of Copenhagen and a BSc in Business Management from King’s College London. Before her PhD, she worked as an environment researcher at the New Economics Foundation. Her research interests are in the relationship between the environment and the economy under capitalism.
For her dissertation, Christiane researches the theory and practice of natural capital from a political economy perspective, for which she receives a full scholarship from the Klaus Murmann Foundation (sdw). Christiane is currently a visiting doctoral student at the Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society in Munich. Alongside her PhD, she co-organises seminars on the economics of the green transition in her capacity as president of the d\carb Future Economy Forum.
