Artists and writers in Afghanistan face imminent danger under the renewed Taliban regime. This symposium will focus on the state of Afghan arts, particularly writers and literature, under the two Taliban regimes and the period in between. Beyond simplistic generalisations presented by the media, lie multiple narratives of resistance that will be explored in the symposium.

It aims not only to provide a platform for diverse voices, and to increase knowledge and awareness, but also to generate activism.
