Originating from Zoroastrian tradition, Nowruz is the new year celebration of a wide variety of cultures along the Silk Roads celebrated at the Spring Equinox. Together with Narguess Farzad we will be discussing the origins of the tradition, the history of the holiday, its dispersal along the Silk Roads and its current importance for a multiplicity of cultures - making it the transnational celebration it is.
