At SOAS, we don’t shrink away from the big questions: How can we address global inequality? How is climate change being affected by COVID-19?
Join us to discuss, debate and explore the major issues facing our world today at our first Global Challenges Forum on Saturday 20 March.
From sustainability to inequality, COVID-19 to climate change, today’s challenges are truly global. At SOAS, our regional expertise and commitment to social justice means we’re uniquely placed to address these problems- and find new solutions.
Our online Forum will see experts on law, development, politics and gender come together to discuss and debate these ever-changing challenges, and look at how we can positively make an impact.
Speakers include Extinction Rebellion’s Esther Stanford-Xosei and a range of SOAS alumni, academics and students.
Running from 11am - 4pm (GMT), this virtual event will include panels on:
- Addressing inequality
- Climate change and sustainability
- UN Sustainable Development Goals: the role of universities
- How COVID-19 has impacted climate change
Join us and let’s develop ideas for a fairer world.
