Biography

Nojeem has consistently graduated top of his class, finishing as best graduating student in the award of Bachelor of Laws (2007) and Master of Laws (2012) degrees from the Lagos State University and the University of Lagos respectively. He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in Commercial and Industrial Law (2017) from the University of Lagos and his PhD thesis bordering on corporate social responsibility from a Comparative Companies Law perspective won the ‘Best PhD Thesis in Humanities’ award.  Nojeem also completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in the University of Cape Town, South Africa (2019/2020).

As a well-rounded scholar with multi-sectoral industry experience across Africa, Nojeem has more than 14 years cumulative experience as external solicitor, in-house legal counsel, and contracts specialist. He currently provides legal services in the international oil company of TotalEnergies EP Nigeria Limited as a Legal Counsel.

His research and teaching interests are in comparative company law; business and human rights; and international economic law, particularly mainstreaming corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability into economic integration discourse of the European Union (EU) and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
