Biography
Shiba Suzuki got a PhD degree from Hitotsubashi University and is currently a professor of economics at Seikei University.
His field of study includes theoretical research on pricing disaster risks.
He also conducts empirical research on asset prices during disasters collecting Japanese stock market data from the period of the Great Kanto Earthquake (1923), the Second Shino-Japanese War, and the World War II period (1937-1945).
Research interests
Macroeconomics, disaster risk, and financial markets.
