Overview

This course is aimed primarily at those who have completed the Hindi Beginners course with the Language Centre and who wish to continue their studies. It is nevertheless available to those with the requisite level of Hindi, but applicants new to the Language Centre will have to undertake an assessment prior to registration.

Method

The course is taught in English and Hindi and includes coverage of the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing and a balance between communicative activities, structure practice and grammar. Class size is normally limited to fifteen to allow intensive practice.

Timetable

Classes will be held at the Bloomsbury Campus of SOAS in central London on one evening a week or Saturday daytime. Participants receive 20 hours of language tuition over a ten-week period (with additional weeks where public holidays displace a class session).
