Agriculture, Food, and Human Values Society (AFHVS) Promotes interdisciplinary research and scholarship in the broad areas of agriculture and rural studies. They publish the journals Agriculture and Human Values and Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Ethics

BSA Food/SCOFF (Scottish Colloquium on Food and Feeding) This BSA Study Group aims to encourage the sociological analysis, both theoretical and empirical, of all aspects of food production and consumption.

International Commission on the Anthropology of Food and Nutrition (ICAF) Promotes and coordinates collaboration and research with a multidisciplinary approach to anthropology of food and nutrition.

Research Committee on Sociology of Agriculture and Food RC40 This is one of the research committees of the International Sociological Association , their objective is to promote and encourage scientific analysis of the social organization of agriculture and food systems.
