Join us for the feature event of SOAS'S Black History Month programme: 35 Years of Black History Month: In Conversation With Akyaaba Addai-Sebo.

Akyaaba is responsible for establishing the concept of a months’ celebration of Black culture and history - what we recognise today in Britain as Black History Month (BHM).

Akyaaba will join us on Friday 21 October for an in-conversation style event where we reflect on the beginnings of Black History Month in Britain, their memories of, and contributions to Black history.
